Red Ribbon Week Stations

October 28 - November 1

To coordinate with the Elementary Counselor, Mrs. Horne's drug free activities we had Red Ribbon Week stations in the gym.  Students in grade pre-kindergarten -6th grade participated in these stations.

Say Boo to Drugs!
Students used a tennis ball covered with a white linen tea towel to be  the ghost.  They aimed for the hula hoop and small hoops, trying to throw the ghost through them.  Each team saw how many points they could earn. We all remembered to say BOO DRUGS!

Say Boo to Drugs!

Don't let drugs make a web in your life!
Students had a buddy to play tic-tac-toe using two different colors of spiders.  They had to aim carefully!
Two second grade students playing Tic-Tac-Toe Spiders.
Don't go around in circles in your life!  Make good decisions and stay away from drugs!
Students practiced their hula hooping skills to music.

Shoot a ball - not drugs!
Older students enjoyed playing hot shot.  Younger students used light weight balls to shoot at the basket.

Second grade students shooting balls, not drugs.

Jump Away from Drugs!
Students worked on their short jump roping skills.

Don't let drugs be an obstacle in your life!
Older students had to do a relay race on scooters weaving between cones, going under an obstacle, touching the wall and weaving back.  Younger students weaved down and came straight back.  Several learned a new vocabulary word - obstacle!

Don't let drugs be an obstacle in your life!
